SUNDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER – AIR FESTIVAL ‘PRAISE’ MORNING SERVICE – 10.30am, Lower Gardens Bandstand. St Peter’s, with The Salvation Army Band will be jointly holding the morning service down in the Lower Gardens as part of the Bournemouth Air Festival weekend.

7TH – 11TH SEPTEMBER – DORSET HERITAGE WEEK in the Chapel of the Resurrection, St Peter’s Church. More details to follow.

15TH SEPTEMBER – GALA DINNER in St Peter’s Church. A fundraising evening, themed to WW1 to tie in with the commemoration of Passchendaele, with entertainment from Sam Hanson. Champagne reception from 7pm. Tickets £40. For full details, see the posters/flyers in church or contact Lisa in the Parish Office.

16TH SEPTEMBER – Organ Concert by Tim Rice – 11am at St Stephen’s Church

KEBLE COLLEGE OXFORD DAY TRIP – SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER – This is an excellent opportunity to have fun and enjoy Oxford and firm-up our mutual association with John Keble, as Butterfield, the architect who built Keble College, is also the architect of St
Augustin’s. We will be arranging the transport and meals this week, so if you still want to join the group, contact Lisa in the office by Tuesday this week!

WEDNESDAY 18th OCTOBER – SOUND & VOICE CONCERT & EXHIBITION – a multimedia exhibition of artwork, creative writing & drama by local students exploring the stories of the 7th Hampshire Regiment Bournemouth men in WW1 & scholars of St Peter’s School, which was attached to St Peter’s Church. with an evening concert from the Bath Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth School Musicians & BS/BSG choirs. They will be performing a specially commissioned piece of music based on the 23 men on the memorial. More details to follow.
