Church Organisations

Bell Ringers
We have an excellent peal of eight bells, which were recently overhauled. Tim Kettle is the Team Captain, and we have a band of ringers for the Sunday services who practice on a Thursday evening. New recruits are very welcome. Please visit us at http://candsbellringers.com/bournemouth/

Flower Group
A dedicated team of helpers, led by Linda Whalley, who give much of their time to the creation of beautiful flower displays, enhancing the splendour of the church for the services.

Lay Pastors
Led by Elaine Pearmain, a team of volunteers helps to provide ministry to those members of the congregation who are ill and housebound. Elaine can be contacted through the Parish Office.

Saturday Morning Coffees
The Friends of St. Peter’s Church provide a welcome every Saturday morning when a team of helpers serve coffee and biscuits.

Servers
John Davis runs a loyal team of Servers assisted by John Bicker, Sacristan.

Tapestry Group
A group of volunteers has completed a project to provide pew kneelers for the Church. Every kneeler has a design individually created to be appropriate to the worship at St. Peter’s and, as it is the Civic Church of Bournemouth, coats of arms of the town and of its founders and patrons are featured.
Keith Sturgess led this ambitious project in association with the Friends of St. Peter’s Church. Our thanks to all the volunteer needle-workers who took part in this great project.

Visitors’ Centre
This is open Mondays – Fridays 10.30am – 2.00pm serving light refreshments – sandwiches, filled rolls, snacks, teas, coffee, etc. A warm welcome is available to all visitors to the church!

Study Groups
There are a number of study and social groups, some based in homes, and others centrered on our three churches. Please ask for details via the Parish Office, or see the Event Calendar.
